Curtains and blinds set the architecture of a room. Soft furnishings give it its voice. A scattering of well made cushions, a shaped pelmet, a padded headboard in the right fabric: these are the details that turn a decorated room into a designed one, and they are where a workroom shows its skill.

Everything is made by hand in the Casa workroom, usually alongside the curtains and blinds for the same room, so patterns are matched, fabrics coordinate and the scheme hangs together as one considered whole.

What the workroom makes

• Cushions, piped, bordered, buttoned or plain, with feather or hypoallergenic fills.
• Pelmets and lambrequins, hard and soft, shaped to suit the window and the period of the house.
• Tiebacks and trimmings, from crisp fabric bands to beautiful passementerie.
• Headboards, upholstered and wall mounted, made to your bed and your fabric.
• Table linens, runners and seat pads for kitchens and dining rooms.
• Throws and bed dressing to complete bedrooms properly.

During a consultation she will look at what you already own and love, then build the soft furnishings around it, balancing pattern, texture and colour so nothing shouts and everything belongs.
